Team Tabu Updates: Nothing Major

I’m currently suffering from a brutal sinus infection, but thanks to [redacted], I am starting to feel a bit better. I spent half the weekend writing and revising a new bio. I’m on revision ten now, and I still don’t like it. It doesn’t capture the essence of me, nor does it convey the necessary info. Revision four is here, if you’d like to read it. I plan to work on it more next Sunday, because I have some design projects that I need to get done, and this is a very hands-on homeschool week.

Hannibal is job hunting, while being a journalist. He’s on his way to sing karaoke and do a few loads of socks, tutus, and spring dresses. Our dryer stopped drying things, so off to the laundromat he goes. Sometimes the old ways are best. I like when the laundry is done all at once.

Mooch is preparing to be the Impromptu Master at Speakers League this Wednesday. She was off to a good start memorizing her lines for Two Gentlemen of Verona, but she hasn’t had (or made) time to get through as many chunky monologues as she should have by this point. We’ll grind hard on it this Sunday for a couple of hours. She started the section of geometry that requires protractors this week. Fun!

Fuss’ behavior is both getting better and staying the same. She is more compassionate and considerate, but she still whines occasionally. I also think she really needs to still be taking naps. She’ll only do it if we’re in the car at the perfect moment. I’m always impressed with her academically. I still haven’t purchased any small chapter books for her, because I haven’t had time. She says she wants “bigger better stories like the ones Baba tells with his mouth at night.”
